Description: Over the hills of the Scottish countryside, a plane falls out of the sky, claiming 270 innocent lives. Seven years later, an anguished mother is drawn to the crash site searching for any lasting memory of the son she lost. While there, she encounters several women in the small town of Lockerbie, who, despite opposing political forces and lingering grief, are fighting to leave a legacy of hope. Inspired by the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 and using a classical Greek model, the play is a moving examination of how hatred can be transformed by acts of love.
